American

Red Lobster’s cheddar biscuits:
Ingredients:
2 ½ cups Bisquick baking mix
¾ cup cold whole milk
4 tablespoons cold butter (1/2 stick)
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
1 heaping cup grated cheddar cheese
Bush on Top:
2 tablespoons butter, melted
¼ teaspoon dried parsley flakes
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Pinch salt
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
2. Combine Bisquick with cold butter in a medium bowl using a pastry cutter or a large fork. You >don't want to mix too thoroughly. There should be small chunks of butter in there that are about the size of peas. Add cheddar cheese, milk, and ¼ teaspoon garlic. Mix by hand until combined, but don't over mix.
3. Drop approximately ¼-cup portions of the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet using an ice cream scoop.
4. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits begin to turn light brown.
5. When you take the biscuits out of the oven, melt 2 tablespoons butter is a small bowl in your microwave. Stir in ½ teaspoon garlic powder and the dried parsley flakes. Use a brush to spread this garlic butter over the tops of all the biscuits. Use up all of the butter. Makes one dozen biscuits.
Meatloaf
1-2 pounds Hamburger or ground turkey meat
1 small can tomato sauce
1/8 c Ketchup
1/8- 1/4c honey bbq sauce
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
¼ c white Onion
1 Egg
1 c quick Oatmeal
1 ½ c Corn flakes
2 tbsp Parsley flakes
½ c Milk
1 tsp Garlic powder
With hands mix well
Put in bread pan
Bake in oven that’s 350 degrees
Until 180 degrees on thermometer , keep it in longer if u want it toastier
Potato Salad
4-6 Boiled cut potatoes
3-Boiled eggs chopped
1/2 tsp- Celery salt
1/2 tsp-Paprika
3 tbsp-Parsley flakes
Mustard-to taste
Mayo-to taste
Relish-to taste
Deviled Eggs Boiled eggs cut in half take out cooked yokes to use Mix: Egg yokes from boiled egg Mustard Mayo Paprika
Clam Chowder
Ingredients for 1st half:
2 c diced potatoes
2 c diced celery
1 c chopped onion
1 tsp sugar
3-4 cans minced clams
(drain clam juice and save)
In large pot add potatoes, celery, onions, sugar and clam juice. Add enough water to just cover veggies. Cook until tender- about 15 mins
Ingredients for 2nd half:
¾ c flour

1 quart half and half or milk

3 tbsp red cooking wine

1 ½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 c butter

In medium pot- melt butter, add red wine, slowly stir in flour, add half and half or milk. Stir with a wisk or a spoon so it doesn’t get lumpy. Cook until really really thick like paste then add liquid from potatoes etc. Then add veggies and clams. Simmer for 20 mins on low.

Chicken Croissants
6 chicken tenders –boiled drained and shredded or 3 cans of chicken drained
1 package of Cream cheese
2 tbsp Minced onion
1 tsp Black pepper
Mix together and warm in pan
Cool and put spoonfuls inside unbaked rolled out Pillsbury croissants
Then wrap and close croissants and bake in oven according to croissant directions
While baking:
Make up cream of chicken with ½ the milk
Adding 2 tbsp canned chopped green chilies
When crissonts ar done baking let cool for a few mins then while eating, use the cream of chicken mix as the dipping sauce Green bean casserole Cook green beans (if canned-boil or microwave them, if frozen or fresh- steam or boil/microwave Make up cream of mushroom soup without all the milk Add sautéed mushrooms to soup Fried Onions with onion powder and salt adding minced onion Mix- cooked green beans, soup and some fried onions together *Mix in some shredded cheese Add rest of fried onions on top Bake in oven
Cut “baked” potatoes
Cut uncooked unpeeled potato in cubes and put in mixing bowl
Add about ¼ c of canola or veggie oil, 2 tsp garlic salt, 2 tsp parsley flakes, 2 tsp paprika
Mix then spread on cookie sheet and bake at 350-375 for 20 mins or until potatoes are tender and golden flipping over when ½ way done
French Fries
Cut potato in strips, peeled or not (like fries:)
Fry in canola, veggie or peanut oil until tender and semi golden
Place on paper towel to soak up extra grease and let sit for 5-10 mins
Then refry for true golden French Fry
Mashed potatoes
Boil cubed peeled potatoes until tender and drain water
In mixing bowl- use hand mixer and whip- potatoes with one or more of the following:
cream cheese or evaporated milk or regular milk or half and half or margarine
Add salt and pepper to taste Mashed sweet potatoes or yams Cut yam or sweet potato into cubes Put into pressure cooker with garlic salt , salt and sprinkle of chicken bullion Cook for 30 mins Drain and smash adding 2 tbsp of margarine Mashed acorn Squash Peel, deseed, and cut squash into cubes Put into pressure cooker with garlic salt , salt and sprinkle a lot of chicken bullion Cook for 30 mins Drain and smash Chili Red kidney beans Light kidney beans Pinto beans Hamburger or ground turkey Tabasco sauce *Red pepper flakes Chili powder Jalapeños Sugar Garlic salt Onions And minced onions *Corn *Canned chili tomatoes Creamed Chicken and Biscuits Ingredients: 1/2 Large onion- chopped and sautéed 4 cups chopped cooked chicken (or 2-3 cans chicken) 1c sour cream ½ c of milk 1c shredded cheddar cheese * add frozen mixed veggies 6 Pillsbury biscuits 1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease the bottoms and sides of 11x7 inch baking dish 2. Sauté onion 3. Mix everything together minus the cheese and put in baking dish- and bake for 15 mins 4. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cheese and top with biscuits 5. Bake until biscuits are done
